Ms. Villalaz is a maritime legal professional with over a decade of experience in vessel registration, financing and maritime regulatory processes. She has extensive experience coordinating applications before the Panama Maritime Authority and providing legal assistance to both domestic and international clients across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.

Her practice combines strong legal expertise with excellent organizational and leadership skills. She has supported and supervised vessel financing, refinancing, and sale and purchase transactions, including the drafting of contracts, legal opinions, and corporate authorizations, as well as overseeing document execution and perfection. She also has experience managing vessel portfolios registered in jurisdictions such as the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and Belize.

Ms. Villalaz has significant experience in flag registrations, ownership transfers and mortgage filings. She has also been actively involved in regulatory applications before the Directorate General of Ports and Auxiliary Maritime Industries and the General Directorate of Merchant Marine of the Panama Maritime Authority.

Her experience further includes coordination of vessels technical certificate issuance, and obtaining approvals for maritime service providers.
