Mónica Araúz joined the firm in 2025.Ms. Araúz is actively involved in the firm's Litigation and Arbitration and Corporate Advisory and 360 Legal Solutions practices, with a strong focus on Labor and Employment Law.
She represents clients in commercial, civil, administrative, and labor disputes before trial and appellate courts, the Supreme Court of Justice, and arbitral tribunals, assisting them in the prevention, management, and strategic resolution of conflicts. Her professional experience also includes advising public and private entities on administrative and regulatory matters, enhancing her ability to provide comprehensive legal solutions to businesses operating in highly regulated industries.
As part of the Corporate Advisory and 360 Legal Solutions group, Ms. Araúz advises multinational and local companies on the establishment and development of their operations in Panama, providing support in corporate matters, commercial contracting, government permits, administrative proceedings, and regulatory compliance.
Her practice is particularly distinguished by her experience in labor and employment matters, advising employers and representing them in conciliation proceedings and litigation. She has served as employers’ representative before Conciliation and Decision Boards Nos. 10 and 11 in the Province of Chiriquí and has participated as a spokesperson for the business sector in interprovincial minimum wage discussions. This experience provides her with practical insight into the operation of labor institutions and the dynamics between employers, employees, and government authorities, enabling her to offer strategic guidance in both the prevention and resolution of workplace disputes.
