As Panama has become an interesting place for foreign investors, the country has also understood the need of the foreign investor to settle disputes without having to resort to the traditional judiciary litigation formula, and has adopted a policy favoring the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms in international large-scale public infrastructure contracts.
