Women, Business and the Law (WBL), the World Bank (2021-2026)

Women, Business and the Law (WBL) is a flagship research project of the World Bank that examines how laws, regulations, and policies shape women’s economic opportunities across 190 economies worldwide.

Since 2021, Jeannette Bravo has contributed as a local legal expert, supporting the World Bank’s cross-country comparative analysis.

Her country-specific contributions to the global WBL report assess how Panamanian laws affect women in key areas, including employment, pay, entrepreneurship, marriage and family law, as well as pensions and asset ownership.
