The Leading Maritime Capitals of the World, Menon Economics (2017-2024)
ARIFA partner and Head of the Shipping legal team, Jorge Loaiza III, joined the Global Maritime Expert Panel providing the main data foundation for the 2024 The Leading Maritime Capitals of the World report, a collaborative effort between Menon Economics and the classification society DNV, that benchmarks approximately 15,000 cities across a comprehensive set of indicators. This biennial report, continues to evaluate each maritime city based on five key pillars: Shipping, Maritime Finance & Law, Maritime Technology, Ports & Logistics, and Attractiveness & Competitiveness.The report gives valuable insights into the strongholds of today’s global maritime industry.
Mr. Loaiza's assessments gave a valuable contribution both to the rankings of the leading maritime cities, and to the insight about the maritime industry in Panama.
