Shipment alert on Crocs counterfeit goods passing through the Panama Canal

Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega lawyers were alerted by the client, Crocs, Inc., of a shipment with counterfeit goods coming from Jamaica passing through the Panama Canal.

ARIFA notified immediately the Customs Authority in Colon City, and was able to detain the vessel filed with more than 24,000 pairs of counterfeit shoes, in exceed of US$330,000.00.

On November 2012, Customs Authority passed the responsibility of the container filled with counterfeit goods to the District Attorney office that Specializes in Crimes against the Intellectual Property.
