Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega successfully filed an opposition suit for Kraft Foods Global Brands, LLC against the trademark "Ritz", registered by Beverage Corporation International, Inc. 

Beverage Corporation argued that the U.S. Certificate of Registration showed the coexistence of its brand along with Kraft's trademarks in Panama. 

Nonetheless, ARIFA proved that:
a) the cracker brand "Ritz" is a well-known trademark in the Panamanian market,
b) the cracker brand "Ritz" has been used since 1944 in Panama as well as internationally, and
c) the potential use and registration of the mark "Ritz" would create confusion with consumers.
