Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as Panamanian counsel to the Westcon Group, the world's leading specialty distributor of advanced network technological solutions, in its acquisition of Afina Group, a multinational leader in the value-added distribution of products, solutions and services within the IT industry. The transaction was accomplished by Westcon through the acquisition of GLS Software, a Panamanian holding company for the operating subsidiaries of the Afina Group thoughout Latin America.

Since the main target of the acquisition was a Panamanian company, ARIFA played a leading role in the multi-jurisdictional transaction, which included counsels in Europe and Latin America.
