Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Citibank, N.A., Panama Branch in its role as Trustee in a US$183 million syndicated loan financing to Electron Investments, S.A. for the construction, equipment and placing into operation of the Pando and Monte Lirio run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plants, with an aggregate capacity of 85 MW.

The run-of-the-river hydroelectric power plants will use the water of the Chiriqui Viejo River in the Chiriqui Province, Western Panama.

The project also includes the construction and operation of a new substation and a 19 km transmission line allowing connection with the network.

The IFC acted as Administrative Agent of the financing.
