Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as Panama counsel to Standard Bank Plc as lender, global coordinator, administrative agent, collateral agent, joint lead arranger and joint senior bookrunner, in connection with a US$165 million loan to Bicapital Corporation to finance the acquisition by its subsidiary, Banco Industrial (Guatemala), of Banco del Pais (Honduras).

The borrower, Bicapital Corporation, was a Panamanian company. The firm advised the lender in all aspects of Panamanian law.
