Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Influent Panama, Inc., in connection with a dispute filed by Microsoft Corporation and Symantec Corporation regarding the unlawful use of their software.

The District Attorney's Office, in representation of Microsoft Corporation and Symantec Corporation, seized the computers of Influent Panama Inc., and in this dispute, we advised our client in securing a settlement agreement with a joint request for termination of the proceedings.  In this settlement, our client secured the liberation of their computers, and set a period of time to obtain the licensing of the software, while the plaintiffs were entitled to a monetary compensation from our clients.
