Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to URS Corporation in the opposition action filed by UPS of America Inc., against our trademark applications URS, in Classes 37 and 42.

This case was ruled in favour of our client, URS Corporation, despite the visual, graphic and phonetic similarity between the trademarks UPS and URS. Said decision was taken by the Panamanian Judicial Court since we were able to prove that the services of the International Classes 37 and 42 covered by the trademarks of the parties involved, and the commercial activities thereof, are different from each other.
