Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Kraft Foods in a case concerning counterfeited products of the mark Tang, which appeared in Chinese small retail stores of the Republic of Panama. 

Due to the negatives consequences of this commercialization, which involved not only the health of the public consumers, but the prestige and the sales of Kraft Foods in our country, we advised them to initiate their legal actions through the Ministry of Health, instead of through the District Attorney's Office. Consequently, as expected, the Ministry of Health acted immediately and seized, in three (3) business days, the counterfeited merchandise. Now, the case file has been sent to the District's Attorney Office for further criminal investigations.
