Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Banco Cuscatlán in connection with the US$1.5 billion sale of its Central America banking operations to Citibank.

The firm acted as leading regional counsel to Banco Cuscatlán and in this capacity advised the bank on all issues of Panamanian law (the seller being a Panamanian holding company) and acted as a coordinator of all Central America counsels (Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras).
