Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega has advised an international consortium of private banks and multilateral lenders in a US$902 million financing for the Manzanillo LNG-to-power project in the Dominican Republic.

The project involves the design, development, construction, operation, and maintenance of two combined-cycle thermal power plants, each with approximately 420-megawatts of net installed capacity.

It also includes a jetty and related infrastructure to allow the plants to receive natural gas from a dedicated floating storage and regasification unit and a floating storage unit, as well as transmission infrastructure to connect the plants to the national grid.
