Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as Panamanian counsel to IC Airlease One Limited, as lessee, Miyazaki Kaiun Co., Ltd., Namiju Co., Ltd., and Minato Create Co., Ltd., as lessors, and The Awa Bank, Ltd., The San-In Godo Bank, Ltd., and The Minato Bank, Ltd., as lenders, in connection with the acquisition, financing, and lease restructure of four Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by Copa Airlines.

The aircraft were acquired from Bank of Utah, serving as owner trustee.

The team worked closely with all parties to ensure a smooth and timely closing, advising on the local regulatory and tax aspects of the transaction, and coordinating the logistics required to successfully complete this complex cross-border structure.
