Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega assisted SMBC Aviation Capital, as lessor, in the restructure of certain operating leases related to three (3) Boeing 737-8V3 aircrafts operated by Copa Airlines, the largest Panamanian airline and one of the most important in Latin America.  

ARIFA participated in the negotiation process with Copa Airlines, from a local perspective, of the lease restructure, as well as in the drafting process of the transaction documents.  

ARIFA also led the execution and perfection process of the transaction documents, and took care of the relevant filings with the Civil Aviation Authority and Public Registry of Panama.  ARIFA also advised on the corporate matters related to Copa Airlines, applicable to the transaction.
