Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega's Equipment and Aircraft Financing Team acted as local counsel for Shunzan Kaiun Co., Ltd., as seller, for Eos Aviation 8 (Ireland) Limited, as purchaser, for SMBC Aviation Capital Limited, as lessor and for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, as mortgagee, in the sale and transfer of one (1) Boeing 737-8V3 aircraft operated by Copa Airlines, the largest airline in Panama and one of the most important in Latin America. 

In addition to assisting with the transfer aspects of the aircraft, ARIFA also worked on the assignment and restructuring of the aircraft operating lease with Copa Airlines, and with the security restructure of the aircraft.  

ARIFA was involved in the negotiation process of the sale structure, lease restructure and security restructure, as well as the drafting of all local documents.  ARIFA was also in charge of the perfection process of the transaction documentation and the filings / registrations with the Civil Aviation Authority and Public Registry Office.
