Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to General Motors Corporation in connection with an infringement action filed against the Panamanian corporation Hummer Sports. 

This is a landmark case won by ARIFA. Because the firm was able to prove the notoriety of the trademark “Hummer”, the District Attorney moved to prosecute this infringement action, even though the trademark had not been registered in Panama.
