US$240 million infrastructure project to expand the Pan-American Highway connecting with the Bridge of the Americas

Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega represented its client Acciona Construcción, S.A. in a US$240 million receivables purchase (factoring) facility granted by Factor Global Inc. and The Bank of Nova Scotia, as purchasers, to Consorcio Loma Cová, a consortium composed of Acciona Construcción, S.A. (Spain) and Constructora MECO S.A. (Costa Rica), for the financing of the expansion of the Pan-American highway between the Bridge of the Americas (Puente de las Américas) and Arraiján to 8 lanes.

This project seeks to alleviate the current vehicular traffic in this way for the next 20 years. It will also allow, among other aspects, to offer efficient traffic management, a connection with the fourth bridge over the Panama Canal and the integration of Metro line 3.
