Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Arcos Dorados in connection with the US$700 million acquisition of the McDonald's restaurant operation in Latin America and Panama. 

Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega advised Arcos Dorados in all issues of corporate law, taxation, real estate law, antitrust, and intellectual property related to the acquisition of the Panamanian operations. 

This transaction required extensive due diligence of retail operations and coordination with a large number of counsels through out Latin America. 

Our British Virgin Island office also assisted in the incorporation of the off-shore vehicle used for the acquisition. 

This transaction was awarded the M&A Deal of the Year Award for Latin America by LatinLawyer in 2007.
