Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to Goldman Sachs Infrastructure Partners in connection with its equity investment in Carrix, the world largest US-owned, privately held, marine terminal operator, with over 12 marine and rail operations worldwide. In Panama, Carrix operates Manzanillo International Terminal, the largest container port in the Central America region, located at the Atlantic entrance of the Panama Canal.

We advised the buyers in all aspects of Panamanian law.  Extensive due diligence was conducted particularly in the regulatory and administrative areas. The firm also advised the client in connection with a joint venture agreement with local partners.
