Arias, Fábrega & Fábrega acted as counsel to SABMiller plc, in its acquisition by Rexam, of its Envases del Istmo S.A. (Endelis) business in Panama.

Rexam plc, the world's second largest beverage can maker in terms of revenue, acquired the Panamanian single-line beverage can plant Endelis, jointly with Envases Universales de Mexico (EUM).

Rexam, which makes 20 percent of world's cans for beverages including beer, soft drinks, juices, energy drinks, wine and tea, secured long-term supply agreements with SABMiller and Florida Ice & Farm Company SA (FIFCO) whose affiliates previously owned the Endelis business.
