The Harmodio Arias Madrid Pro Bono and ESG Committee, named after one of ARIFA's founding partners and former President of Panama, is comprised of lawyers from all levels and top administration personnel.

Pro Bono

At ARIFA, our commitment to pro bono service is a tangible reflection of our core values. It motivates our members to place their knowledge and experience at the service of non-profit organizations (NPOs) whose work advances the well-being and development of our communities. This culture of service strengthens the ethical standards and professional integrity that distinguish ARIFA and are recognized by our members, clients, and the professional associations to which we belong.

The Committee provides clear pro bono guidelines, and has the mission to efficiently keep track of the pro bono work its lawyers provide.

ARIFA is member of the Lex Mundi Pro bono Foundation, a Gold and Bronze Winner in two Humanitarian Action & Services categories of the 5th Annual Anthem Awards. 

The firm is also a signatory of the Pro Bono Declaration of the Americas, promoted by the Vance Center, an international organization that advances global justice by engaging lawyers across borders to support civil society and an ethically active legal profession.

In 2016, ARIFA signed a cooperation agreement with Voluntarios de Panamá to provide pro bono legal advice to NGOs in Panama through the prestigious organization.
