ARIFA partner Gian Castillero was the guest speaker during the last session of the Legislation & Taxation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Panama (Pan AmCham), with the theme "Situation of Panama before the Global Forum on Transparency and Exchange of Information for Tax Matters ".

Gian Castillero is advisor to the President and the Vice President of the Republic and takes a leading role in high-level commission appointed by the Government for the protection of international services of the Republic of Panama.

As a firm, we have been very much involved in the efforts of the Panamanian Government in setting up new standards for the country, to make sure that Panama remains a relevant and attractive jurisdiction to foreign investors and players. Mr. Castillero was asked by the government to take the leading role in making sure that Panama was in compliance with all the requirements of the OECD, GAFI, and the other agencies around the world that set up rules and monitor the forming of rules regarding compliance requirements.
